The craft’s deep cockpit, the handrails around the wheelhouse, the choice of materials used for the generously-proportioned components, and the sturdy, meticulously-finished, high-quality construction all combine to make for exceptionally safe cruising.
In the cockpit, the large engine casing gives access to storage lockers as well as the engine itself – everything is completely accessible.
A second large stern locker has room to stow all the gear you’ll need. Three folding bench seats provide very comfortable seating for 6 to 8 people.
The hull, designed by architects Joubert-Nivelt, guarantees good seaworthiness, excellent handling in choppy seas, perfect helm, and terrific stability at speeds of up to 28 knots. Comfort and safety are also provided by the protected rudder and propeller, easy beaching for the twin-engined version, safety glass windows, the hydraulic helm, a 550-liter fuel tank, and the optional propeller access well which makes it possible to clear a rope or net in complete safety.
Designer Olivier Flahaut has provided roomy interior accommodations.
The forward cabin has a V-shaped double berth with multiple storage areas and a large hanging locker. The head includes a wash basin, a shower and a marine toilet. The wheelhouse has been designed to include not only the helmsman’s seat but also a 2-seat co-helmsman’s bench that swivels to change the saloon into a U.
The table is convertible into a double berth.
A number of storage compartments and 2 easy-access drawers are located under the bench seats.
The galley is outfitted with a 2-burner stove with an oven, an 85-liter refrigerator, a sink with running water and a 200-liter fresh-water tank. Cupboards, drawers and shelves make living aboard practical when cruising.
Two sliding doors, one hatch above the saloon and one portside opening port provide very effective ventilation. The RHEA 850 makes cruising extremely comfortable.
Everything has been designed for pleasure and efficiency: a very deep cockpit, “walk- around” layout, emergency tiller, optional dual controls. Any kind of fishing can be done in complete safety.
