Heron II is the ex passenger ferry for Heron Island. She is a solid fibreglass platform for either returning to carrying passengers or a new fit-out as a great live aboard cruiser. Still in 1D Certifcate of operation to carry up to a maximum of 48 passengers, and 2B certificate of operation maximum of 10 passengers, She was built in WA and inspected by WA surveyors during the build process.

Powered by 2 x 375kW Detroit Diesels Heron II has a maximum speed of 20 knots and a 16 knot cruise speed. She is well equipped with an Izuzu 22kva generator, Daikon Air Conditioner and all equipment for required for a full survey vessel.

Survey: Retired from commercial service early 2009. The survey was 48 passengers 200Nm from the coast(1B). Queensland survey until October 2015; 2b 10 pax (10 man liferaft), 1D 48 pax(Karly floats). To keep survey, the vessel requires; restock first aid kit, restock flares, test fire extinguishes, test/replace liferaft.
