The 470 follows the innovative layout of the Ferretti 510 and 630 models, which essentially turn the traditional main cabin around. Instead of putting the galley forward or-even worse tucking it away on the lower deck, Ferretti celebrate the galley by placing it aft on the main deck with a servery accessing the cockpit. This layout is absolutely perfect for entertaining; the chef remains part of the conversation while preparing culinary delights for all.
There are three staterooms on the lower deck. The forward stateroom is the master, it's generously sized, light bright and airy with lozenge-shaped ports, big hanging lockers, and a private head with separate shower. The two aft staterooms have a pair of single berths with good headroom and hanging lockers.
The lower helm's sightlines are superb, the console is laid out efficiently, with a panel of clearly labelled switches at the skipper's elbow, a pair of Raymarine C120 monitors for the navigation electronics and SmartCraft displays for the Cummins engines. On the flybridge, the retractable helm panel is equally well planned and efficient.
