Ocean 60 Schooner.

This Ocean 60, launched in 1981, is a tried and tested blue water cruising yacht, built by Southern Ocean Shipyard in the UK. 2005 refit, 5 accommodation cabins, powered by a Yanmar 125hp diesel and a versatile twin headsail schooner rig.

Sail inventory includes mainsails by North Sails, Headsails by Doyle, 2 spare headsails, and spare mainsail. Proctor Masts and Whalespar booms.

Chosen for her sea kindly attributes and comfort, the current owner has used ‘Commitment’ as an expedition vessel, spending time sailing in the Pacific, around Cape Horn and Patagonia and his famed Antarctic voyages.

Forward is a double bed in v-berth cabin. The other 4 cabins have two big single. Excellent storage in cabins.

The saloon area has an open-plan design and includes a large sofa and dinette, a large U shaped galley and well equipped nav station and chart table.

The galley is well equipped with good storage, a 240v fridge and freezer set up, and a 4-burner gas stove, grill and oven.

Also included is a Quicksilver 3.3m Hypalon tender and Mercury 8hp outboard engine and a Kholer 6.5kva diesel generator.
